Our Summer 2013

With our 2013 season quickly coming to an end, I thought I would recap our summer adventures. We spent our summer participating in several school fundraisers. We were able to bring our mini donuts back to Livingston Academy for 3 of their home football games. It was nice to set up and see so many familiar faces from last year.

We also set up at the Baxter Elementary School on the first day back to school. We greeted the teachers and children at the front door with fresh, hot mini donuts. A few weeks later, we were at the Baxter Street Fair and from that event, we were asked by the Baxter Rebels Football team to come and set up at all of their football games this season. We met so many great Baxter folks and can’t wait to go back next season.

We also did our very first long distance fundraiser. The Dryden Cardinals Football team from Dryden MI pre sold mini donuts and donut pops to raise money for the team. We then made, packaged and shipped over 200 orders to Michigan for delivery. It was quite an experience and we appreciate the efforts and patience of the fundraiser coordinators as we fumbled our way through a first for us.

We have been asked by the Cookeville Sears to set up in the parking lot again this year for Black Friday. We will be there all night and into the day on Friday. We had a lot of fun last year with some help from our kids and friends that stopped by throughout the night to offer support.

As our 2013 season comes to an end, we have some things we are working on for next spring. Change is in the air in a big way and we will be sharing as things begin to come together. Those who know us well already know that we have a dream to travel across the country and our mini donuts are going to play a large part in allowing us to do so. Stay tuned for updates on that!

Meet the Marcums

Last month, we dedicated a portion of our donut pop sales to little 6 year old Allie Clayburn, who was diagnosed with cancer in December of 2012. Allie has recently completed her 6th round of chemo and the family is awaiting news on her scans. We will continue to keep Allie in our prayers and post updates as we get them.

This month, our donut pop family is the Marcums. The Marcums are in the process of adopting little 2 1/2 year old Noah. Noah currently resides in an orphanage in China. You can read their story and follow the journey along with them on their blog

http://www.marcummiracles.blogspot.com

Adopting overseas is a very expensive process. We would never want to see Noah lose the opportunity to be a part of this sweet, loving family only because of lack of funds. Once again, we will be taking orders for donut pops during the month of May. $5 for each dozen donut pops sold will go into the Noah fund.

Donut pops are our delicious mini donuts dipped in chocolate then topped with your choice of yummy flavors. They come in a box of 12 for $14 a box. These make perfect end-of-the-year gifts for your childs teacher. They come wrapped in tissue and ready to give! We will also be donating $10 for each donut pop birthday cake ordered and paid for in May.

We will also be setting up the donut machine this month and will be donating a portion of sales to the Noah fund as well. I will post more about times and locations on our facebook page as the time approaches.

You can place your order from here using the link the the right of the page, or you can call or text my cell at 931-260-5817. You can also send a message via our facebook page.

Please take a minute and drop in on the Marcums blog and read their story. I am very excited to have the opportunity to help them bring Noah home.

April is for Allie!

Grams Mini Donuts has named the month of April "Allie Month"! Allie Clayburn is a local 5 year old sweetie who was recently diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma. She has been receiving treatments at Vanderbilt in Nashville. You can find her on Facebook under "Team Allie". While browsing her Facebook wall, you will see photo after photo of Allie's bright and contagious smile. She will quickly win your heart.

Grams Mini Donuts was recently contacted to help with a fundraiser in April. We decided that, not only would we be happy to attend the fundraiser, we wanted to do something for her for the entire month of April. Sooooo....April is now "Allie Month".

For each order of a dozen donut pops that we fill in April, we will donate $5 to Team Allie. For each donut pop birthday cake order, we will donate $10.

Donut pops are our delicious mini-donuts on a stick, dipped in chocolate and topped with yummy flavors. The pops come in Butterfinger, Oreo, Green Mint, Pretzel and White Chocolate. They can be ordered by the dozen and flavors can be mixed to order. We try to honor any special request flavors.

We can also assemble the donut pops on a Birthday Cake display and color coordinate them to fit a theme. We can do wedding reception displays as well.

Pricing and ordering information is listed on the right of the page. The orders can be placed for in the future. As long as they are placed and paid for in the month of April, they will qualify for the fundraiser.

Local orders can be picked up or we will be happy to meet you with your order. For long distance orders, we will mail the donut pops for a small shipping fee.

Help us help Team Allie. Feel free to share our blog page with your friends.

Spring season is upon us

Today is the first day of spring here in the south. Never mind that it is snowing and cold! We are getting excited about warmer weather coming. We are both ready to be out on the weekends serving up our delicious mini donut treats! I cant believe how much I have missed it.

Last weekend we had the opportunity to set up at Sears for the grand opening of Beltone. It was great to see people returning from last fall for their mini donut fix. One lady drove up, got her young daughter out of the car seat, and purchased a donut pop. They ate, got back in the vehicle and left. Donut pops were all they had come for! It was great!

Weather permitting, we will be setting up Saturday morning in the Park View Elementary parking lot for a car show. This is a fundraiser for the school and we will be donating a portion of the sales back to the school. Hopefully the weather will turn out nice for that.

We have some other things lined up for this season that we are really excited about. More on those things to come.

Happy Valentines Day

I wanted to take a minute and wish all of our followers a Happy Valentines Day. We have spent the last week taking, filling and delivering Valentine Donut Pop orders. As much as I enjoyed our donut pop adventure, it was nice to have a bit of a break tonight. Thank you to all who ordered and I hope you were able to enjoy some time with your special valentine today.

Our donut pops are now available at the Broadway Boutique Mall in Cookeville, We have a display set up in the front of the store, and store owner, Susan, would love to see you come in and look around. I love my weekly visits there to refresh our donut supply. You never know what you will find and the store has a lovely atmosphere. Be sure to stop in and visit.

This Saturday, the Algood Elementary School is having a fundraiser for one of it's little students who was diagnosed with cancer back at Christmas. The fundraiser is at the school and starts at 6pm. We will be there to support little Allie Clayburn. She is a real sweetie and needs our support.

Stay tuned for more information on our donut pops. We have added some fun new flavors and have gotten nothing but good feedback on them.
